THEOS-2A Satellite

THEOS-2A, a 100 kg satellite class, co-develop by Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) and Surrey Satellite Technology Limited (SSTL). The satellite is capable of capturing high-resolution imagery and footage which is perfectly fit for disaster monitoring, agriculture, and urban planning applications. Furthermore, this mission offers a first-ever end-to-end satellite development and technology know-how transferring to Thai people aiming for building a space ecosystem and capability in Thailand.

This program also includes an in-country manufacturer promoting scheme and a space infrastructure development program that will pave a way for Thai-made space technology and activity in the future which is now successfully proven and received an enormous attraction and create a space technology awareness among Thai society.
